Zd30 no power towing

Hi all i brought a 05 d22 zd30 a month or so ago goes well but hooked my 17 foot fibreglass cabin boat up today and went out for a fish it seems real gutless towing like fourth gear on the flat 80km-100km/ hour takes forever let alone trying to negotiate the hills is this normal?

Pretty normal.

Massively different between towing & not towing on all engines in a D22.

Prob about a ton im guessing Im thinking its the neutral position switch now after reading some stuff it seems a bit shuddery and underpowered in third too

It should handle a tonne no problems I tow that every day. The NPS is a very common problem, just disconnect it and see how you go. There should be a few threads showing where it is if your unsure.
