Default Engine RPM Fluctuating

Hi, I have a problem with my Nav ZD30. The engine RPM stated to fluctuate, like increase and decrease really quickly without me touching the accelerator pedal. It doesn't happen often and seems to happen at random times. It has a new fuel filter and none of the lines are choked. Any ideas? Thanks!

Mine did this - not rapidly, but it was like a surge of revs every 2-3 seconds. I fixed it by adding a fuel injector cleaner to the tank and taking the car for a drive - after 100km there was no more surging.

could be running on engine oil.
check engine oil is below full. if its above full mark even by a small amount they tend to throw heaps of oil through the breather. also check the oil filter for an oily spot on it.
highly recommend a catch can on zd30's.

the other is the very common gearbox neutral position switch (nps). unplug it and see if problem goes away.

Try a Throttle Position Sensor relearn.
Get it up to operating temp then leave it idle for 10 minutes.
