Hi Navarians

I have a rather technical question in relation to chassis. I was and still am looking online for bash plates plans for my D40 spanish build 2007. Recently I came across a very good set of templates for an Xterra, 2nd generation from what I can tell.

After doing some basic research I came across Nissan F-Alpha platform, which is supposed to be the chassis for all Nissans utility vehicles, including Pathfinder, Frontiers, Xterras, etc.
Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_F-Alpha_platform

Also check out the right hand side overview here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Navara#D40_series_.282004.E2.80.93.29

Now my question is: if Xterra and Frontier/Navara are based on the same chassis, does that mean that they should have the same skid/bash plates?

Regards

I just confirmed on German Wikipage that new Xterra's chassis is the same as Navaras...it just does not say which one, d22 or d40.

Anyone else with good insights and knowledge????

same as d22 the pathfinder and titan and posably the armada share the same as the d40

Thanks Big Zetor. Does that mean that bashplates which fit a D22 would also fit a D40? I am talking about the overall measurements and not necessarily the wholes for screws.

Cheers

No way a D22 bash plates will fit a D40. Why not just buy a D40 bash plate from Ironman?

I have a mate who works with steel....laser cutting, bending, the whole lot. It would save me a lot of money. I am just missing the plans.

But yeah, I doubt it too. Either way, I don't see me getting around cutting some cardboard and going underneath the car....at least to validate the xterra skid plans.
