Service at local mechanics

2014 D22 40,00km from new. Had my last service at local mechanics. Few weeks later there's a noise from the front l/h hub. I get a bit concerned that is the c/v joint going. So eventually I take it to the dealer and find that its a day over warranty. They look at it anyhow and fix the problem. At the last service when the local did the c/v apparently they replace a bearing incorrectly. The dealer said they charge $120 or so per hour but only charged me $50 for goodwill, even though they spent an hour on it., Shit that was lucky!!

yes your were lucky , 1 day over how would you be hey. actually i would have thought the cv joint would last longer than 40k.

They repack front wheel bearings every 40k km, so the mechanic obviously didn't refit something correctly...
