I just received an oil sample analysis back, which shows 6.5% oil dilution, with a slightly lowered oil viscosity, after only 4500kms.

At the previous oil sample (4,500kms ago), there was a slightly lowered viscosity, with no fuel present. This sample had 10,000kms on the oil.

I don't have access to the service manual at the moment, but from the research I have done, it appears that one of the injectors may be leaking diesel back into the rocker area, where it combines with the oil.

Has anyone had to remove injectors on these engines, and if so, is it an easy job to do?

More likely an injector is overfuelling, diesel fuel getting past the rings unburnt. Incidentally, very common on the latest vehicles which fuel the dpfs by injecting excess fuel.
