Auberins in the US do a nice gauge.could very easly just plumb in a thermocouple into a hose or ally housing see www.auberins.com
The gauges will log max temp and min temps if needed..will also trigger a relay once you set a high limit alarm.the trigger can do a light..buzzer or anything.one of there double gauges will slot in perfectly to the 1/2 din pocket near the gear shifter

Just query the ECU, it already knows the temperature fairly well. Bluetooth OBD adapter + Android Torque app = more info than you can poke a stick at (including coolant temp).

Way to go! Even if you forked out for a OBD2 stand alone, for temp, it has plenty of of other info it can tell you at the same time and can be a permanent installation if you wish.

+1, another vote for the Torque app with an android phone or tablet. After the EGR blank it has to be one of the best mods for your money :dirol:
