Abbreviations

Hi All
This might sound like a dumb query, but for a Nav novice like myself, I see things posted which have me stumped.
Like what is a SCV ?
MAF= ??
MAP= ??
ECU= ??
SCV= ??

I'm sure there are a lot more, so any chance of a list to make it easy for dumbo's like me.

MAF = Mass air flow metre
MAP = Manifold air pressure sensor
ECU = Electronic control unit (computer)
SCV = No idea.

Suction control valve

I should add, this is only applicable to common rail motors. It controls how much fuel pressure is in the fuel rail for the injectors

Maf as far as I know the zd30 doesn't have one. It uses the map sensor instead. This is that little black box thing that we had to move onto the new intercooler pipe when we fitted it. The ECU is in the cab under the centre of the dash, below the radio. As yours has a rotary direct injection fuel pump, it doesn't have a scv.
