Just wondering if this is a common problem. On a resent trip the engine was running very ruff on start up in the morning. Checked the fuel filter and everything looked fine. started the car again and everything seemed to be alright. What should i be looking for. Dont want to be court out in the middle of no were so any help will be appreciated.
 
Hmm there is a number of things that could cause high fuel use
Like
Bigger tyres etc.
also if injectors are on there way or just dead they can coz higher fuel usage

Do you drive your car hard that can also bring up your usage the computer adapts to the way you drive if you drive hard it will spend more
 
Ok now im confused are we talking about a zd30 or a yd25 lol coz this thread is in a d40 thread

More than likely a problem with the glow plugs, if the issue is on start up on a cold morning then goes away after a moment that's normally the issue.
