While there are several POST on this subject but have not found a solution or at least not published solution
I have a NISSAN D22
Model 2004
YD25 engine
And there is no power and car after replacing the engine which was replaced by NISSAN
NISSAN checked timing and MAPS
Tested micro filter IN
fuel tank Check Turbo
All OK
Car does not smoke under any circumstances
There is a feeling that the car is not getting enough fuel
For example I was up HILL there is no difference between control clicking on the accelerator to the floor or 3\4
any aid

check for air in fuel lines. fit clear fuel hose on pump outlet and look for bubbles.

no difference between 3/4 throttle and full throttle is a normal nissan "feature".

Double check they have not installed the older V6 engine by mistake :sarcastic:,.

Sorry, couldn't resist, I do like my V6.

d22 no power

Well I checked for air bubbles in the fuel return pipe and no bubbles
I also checked the lack of supply of fuel but everything seems normal
I noticed when the car is cold is going better but not excellent
And I noticed that when I press the accelerator to the floor is kind of heavy-rpm

the nutral position switch new and works well

Check the Coolent temp sensor for the computer.

I remember a guy ages ago had a similar problem and his coolent temp sensor was reading out of spec.

no power the solution!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After the fuss that goes on forever between Nissan garages to see the lack of power of the car and use the tips from you
And after I received significant help from dave about as a "service manual"
I realized that the solution is up to me in Hebrew we say "em-an-ani-li-mi-li"
if not me for me so ho is for me

Since there was any fault of the computer test vehicle began to examine what Probes or related computer controlled and thus the injection pump
At the end I cut back to 3 Probes
Coolent temp sensor
air pressure sensor
and air temperature sensor
And the latter is not good even though that's not in failure
After I installed a variable resistance
Car without any problems of lack of power

Yea mate I'm having the same problems as u I have blown the fuel lines back wards and all and my ute I have no power and a really bad surge and it's bad it's so bad it emptied half my coffee all over me :| can any one help me out

Hi Yanir
Did you remove air temperature sender and fit resistor

Am I right in assuming the air temp sensor is also referred to as MAF?
Well at least it looks like a MAF to me, behind the air box.

no, they don't have MAF sensor

depends on what you mean by "behind the airbox".
the air temp sensor is between the air box and the guard. ie on the inlet side of the air filter box.

Must be different on the YD25. mine only has a MAF (or what looks awfully like one) behind the air box, IE down stream on the intake before the turbo inlet

I think Tweake was thinking of a ZD30, YD25 would be a MAF and I think they build the temp sensor in to them. MAFs are known to fail/ foul up with blow by.

the original poster has 2004 yd25 d22 non-common rail which don't use MAF.
later 2008-2015 YD25 d22 common rail use MAF.

it pays to start another thread rather than hijack the wrong thread.
