hi there just got a Nissan navara 2.5 d40 and on cold start up she will pull back miss and blow smoke out and it makes the engine rattle she will do this until its warmed up then she fine all day ive got a egr plate on her and a catch can any help with her plz

Is there power to the glow plugs
Have heard a few reports of the glow plug relay failing. This lives in the front right corner of the engine bay tucked away so that you have to reach around the battery.
It might be a dirty MAFS reading the incoming air incorrectly, or a dirty SCV. When warm, does the engine "hunt" around at idle, varying the idle speed by a noticeable amount? If it does, run a can of Liqui Moly Fuel System Treatment (about $25 at SCA) through a tank and see what happens.
