Navara 2008 (JAP) D22 engine swap

So the YD25 blew the big end bearings a brought a kit to rebuild it and striped it down and found other worn pieces and running short on time decided to buy a engine and swap it.

the car is a Navara 2008 (JAP) D22 4X4
Got a few questions:
Is a D40 engine the same (i know the D40 has different exhaust manifold)?
Is there any variations in years that i have to look out for?
Is the 2WD engine same as 4X4?
know any good places i should check out for a used engine?

swapped engines before just navaras area new thing to me.

firstly i know the D-40 engine has more K.W. than your existing 2.5 litre engine plus i am sure the D-40 engine runs off a different ECU than your does.
can,t help with the other Q,s but the other guys will.
