Nice work bryan, i bought the same battery tray just yesterday, havent started welding on brackets etc, for it but yeah guna start making it fit in there. And then start to work out the best battery and isolators etc for it.

So i have a few updates, we are heading off for 2 weeks next week so it thought i would chuck in my old storage draws i made few years ago, i made them from and old set of office draws i got from work, should do the job, will see how they go.

I also fitted a fire extinguisher as well, $22 from bunnings is pretty cheap insurance really, all the auto places want $30 or more for the same thing so shop around!

Also a few months back i got sick of the ironman springs looking saggy, so i bought some longer center pins and went about fitting the bottom load leaf out of the factory springs i had here. i gained about 15mm in height, it carries loads and the camper better now, a little rougher but not much, and for $10 for the center pins it was a cheap mod!

So today i followed the wiring from the tub in to the car, the reverse light wire is in the white plug under the seat and i the red wire with the black trace, this is where i picked up the feed for the reverse camera screen so the screen comes on when you put it into reverse.

oh and for anyone who wants to know the reverse camera kit is an aldi one http://aldi.com.au/au/html/offers/2827_20050.htm although i picked mine up second hand and it came with the book.

here are some pics of the connectors
this is the one under the seat and the reverse light wire

I broke the bracket for the camera, so a conduit sadle is my fix for now! might get a recessed camera from fleabay and mount it in the tailgate handle panel

So after finally having enough of the missus winging about not being able to get in the fridge i made a fridge slide a few weeks ago and fitted it yesterday. It may be cheap and simple but seems to work for me!

Total cost $50, $27 for the steel, $10 for the barrel bolts and the rest just odds and ends, the slides/runners i got off a display at work= free, the ply wood was a pallet= free. Just have to work out how to mount the draws that are a few posts back, i want to do it so they can be taken out easily while camping if i want to get fire wood or something.

It's a shame ive got guests and a bunch of my own nav projects to do this weekend, other wise I might've contemplated going for a drive and giving you a hand with the install.

all good thanks joshman, starting it this arvo as soon as i get home from work with a mate!! would have been cool to check out your rig but!

Had a busy night last night but with the help of a mate we got the old exhaust off and beaudesert system on, havent driven it yet but it sounds wicked in the shed, then we swaped the alloy bar for the new nissan steel bar, so after a finish time of 11.30pm (started around 4pm) it was all done! just got to pull the dash out to swap the UHF antenna to the bar mount.

defiantly alot of restriction in the factory system, why can the do it right in the first place i dont know! also need to sort out the exhaust hitting the spring hanger on start up, anyone got any ideas?

new VS old dump pipe/cat will get more pics later.
