Ive been reading alot about a issue with the bug ends going on d22's at low milage but they dont say what engine they are talking about which engine is the problem one?

I didnt see it on here it was UK i think bearing shells wearing out and conrods cracking making bad knockung at best throwing rods out the block at worst generally under 120-130k

Only the direct injection motors they got overseas, not the common rail motors we got here
the non-common rail YD25 in the D22.
NZ got them in the 2wd vers.
apparently caused by weak conrod bolts.
tho i havn't heard much about failures here, however theres probably not a lot of 2wd sold.

Ok great thanks for that was curious as ive never heard anyone having that issue here in NZ
