Hi, I'm looking at an 03 d22 with a zd30 in it, it's got 400,000 on the clock. Do these have the same problem with patrols with blowing up randomly?

Also how many kms are people getting out of their zd30s, will they go and go like a td42 or is 400,000 getting a bit long in the tooth?

I've had a look around but can't find any answers.

i know the ZD-30 is a good engine but i feel 400k is getting close to the limit especially if you don,t know how its been looked after in its life.
 
if it was going to blow it would have blown well before 400,000kmh.
i would be seriously checking its condition. compression check is a must.
it all comes down to price but expect driveline and brakes to be well worn as well.
 
Yeh sounds good, it's only $4000, I might take it to a diesel mechanic for a once over for piece of mind, thanks for the reply
