Hi

The manuals stated for rear differential, it uses mineral type 80W90 oil.

Could i use fully synthetic in the rear differential?

Thank you

yes you can just be sure to use the same oil specs you mentioned plus if your vehicle has a limited slip diff, make sure its the l.s.d. oil not what you will use in your front diff which is non l.s.d. oil

Other thing, is Nissan Matic S transmission fluid a fully synthetic?

Heck....even service center dont know its mineral or synthetic.

On normal driving, Nissan manuals said ATF change at 160,000km. If frequently drive off road or towing...change at 40,000km.

But i do not feel comfortable change at 160,000km. I will change the atf every 50,000km.

NP300 do not have atf dip stick

every 3-4 years or 80,000 kms is more than enough. i prefer genuine fluids in general! most of them are japanesse so quality isnt a joke

Ok. Great. Thank you

I think, Matic S ATF is at least semi synthetic. 160,000km atf replacement need a very good quality ATF.

But still need confirmation. If Matic S is mineral, maybe i replace by using Penrite LV atf

Well going by the "S" in the name, you would think it is synthetic. If you can find out which oil company makes it they will be able to tell you

Thank you

Some guys in Bob Is The Oil Guy forums said Nissan Matic S is originally Castrol oil...Multi Vehicles F. Unfortunately here in Malaysia , Castrol dont have it.

In Malaysia famous brands are Red Line, Amsoi, Lucasl and Penrite .

Penrite i read reputable Australia brand. Also they selling in 2.5 ltr and 4 ltr bottle. Cost effective

Others selling per quart
