Well after owning the NP300 for 4 months I finally decided I should put it to work (Helped by the fact someone kindly rear ended my D40 so it needs to take a holiday at the panel shop).

Anyway as I carry a lot of weight I visited the local Ironman dealer and purchased some uprated springs (extra constant load 600+ - GVM)

Here's the factory verse the Ironman so you can see the difference.

I then loaded up all my work gear and ran it across a weigh bridge.

And the rear axle loading

And this is how it sits with the weight in.

It still rides very similar to factory but I plan to upgrade the shocks over the xmas break.

One question for DesertHucker if he views this.
When you fitted your airbags did you alter the brake distribution valve a accommodate for the extra weight?
I thought about it but couldn't decide which way to go and being unmodified it still seems to brake alright.
In my first D40 (2007) I didn't adjust it when using the Ironman helper springs for the weight and it used to be shot braking but then they weren't the best anyway. And my last D40 (2012) didn't have the brake distrution vlve which is why I think they braked a little better.
