Steering play

Default Steering play

Does anyone know how to fix steering play i have about 3in of play in the steering and it it gets worse with more speed any ideas? I need help

Get under the front and look at rubbers on tie rods and ball joints. Also the idler arm

Get someone to turn the wheel left and right while you're under the front

If you need to replace parts, get 555 (three five) brand

Theyre better than OME quality, made in Japan and youll never replace anything again

if its just steering box free play you can try adjusting the screw on top of steering box in slightly but not tight. you need to back off the outer lock nut then you can turn the screw head with a normal screw driver for this slight adjustment. most of the time you will get less free play after this adjustment is made. check all steering componants firstly before doing this screw adjustment as you could have a badly worn part on the steering that Must be fixed for safety.
