Check your earthing point to the chassis, engine block, battery and the group of wires earthed to the body behind the ECM.

Similar issue, and mine was earth related. These cars rely SO MUCH on earth signals.
 
Dont ya hate it when people dont update thier 4b issues... a group earth near the ecm unit, missed that one...
 
The ECU is located on top of the transmission hump under the dash. Should be able to find earth cables from there hopefully. I installed a remapped ECU and it only took 15 mins so pretty easy to reach
 
Problem solved.....the 3 earth terminals located on top of the manifold were weathered. I took them all off and cleaned them and put back.......issue has gone away.......strange that a simple terminal clean can make such a difference.....weird. Thanks....good site.
