Haha, not wrong!
I'll be giving the the soapy what're a go for sure.
Then I'll upset the wife!
Thanks, honestly, can't wait to meet a few of ya's.
Have a good one boys!

OneMofo and old Tony,

I found the leaks using the soapy spray bottle trick.
They were only at the EGR.
Instead of buying the new egr valve from Nissan for $597.
I paid $75 for a 10mm helicoil kit,
Drill out the dripped threads with the 10.3mm drill in the kit,
Tapped out the stripped threads with tap supplied in kit.
Then wound in the helicoils with the tool provided.
Carefully put it all back together and tightened every thing up again.
Checked for leaks while engine running with spray bottle.
None found.
Took her for a smooth solid run for about 10mins.
No noise whatsoever.
Problem solved.
Now I have peace of mind once again and a restored sense of confidence in my ute.
I may even be able "weather permitting" to tow the boat and chase some mackerel before the funs gone out of the season.

No, I bought two regular Nissan metal gaskets from eBay making a total of three.
I used one each side of the blanking plate. And one before the other plate that's got the one side with a half pipe on it you know the one, it's about 4 or 5mm thick.
I do have some gasket glue. Just chose not to use it this time.
