It's definitely for Justin Case. No intermingling happening here! Besides, Goldy is already large enough. With tools and stuff she's heading towards 430kg, add 250kg of trailer, and 130kg of people - she's more than heavy enough for the 1.5L engine!

Well if Goldy is suffering, what about poor Veronica and she pulls as well?
I'm imagining Goldy to have puffy lips like Private Benjamin but not so much like Elise Elliot.
While math has never been a strong point, Goldy with her 1.5lt is heading toward a ton (810kg) and Veronica with her 2.5lt could be about 5 ton GCM? 3 wheels vs 8?
Are bike engines any more or less efficient than cars. (I have no clue)
Wasn't it in the 70's that Suzuki brought out cars or vans with motorcycle engines?
A bloke we see each Christmas traded his 3.2 litre Ranger for the 2 litre Ranger and says the latter is better towing his van. It's something I cannot get my head around.

Goldy does fine towing the trailer, really. We took her up Thunderbolts Way and while I had to change down gears, she didn't really struggle (and I don't let her). She does the same as the Navara - uses a little extra fuel (8.1LPHK vs 6LPHK normally).

Our Nav sits at around 5.5T combined when towing. I don't let it struggle, I happily change down to a lower gear and keep the foot light on the throttle. The climb up Bells Line at Kurrajong is done in first gear at about 15km/h - I just stay in the left lane and let everyone past.

Yes, clearly math is not a strong point. I forgot that you tow with the bike. Thinking Goldie had a side car, hence the 3 wheels. That's my excuse anyway.
I found the car that used a bike engine. It was not a Suzuki but the Honda N360.which apparently had a massive 354cc engine. I can still recall the unpleasant sound they msde motoring down the road.

Suzuki had the same in their Carry/Every line (Carry in Australia). A mate had a 600cc version, and while it was no rocket ship, it just kept going.

Don’t know about the Honda, but the Suzuki engine did not bear much resemblance to the 550cc m/cycle engine. I had a 800 cc 4cyl 4 stroke Suzuki carry that was unstoppable until the weight I carried stopped it making it up the steep hills I had to go. Would go further in two wheel drive than most 4wd.

Bigger engine than the Bambino.
I remember an older kid at school bragging about his Fiat sports car. Not being old enough to drive, I was impressed until I finally saw his beat up Bambino.
Not sure what he thought made it a sports car?

Technically (racing speak here), a "sports car" is one that has two seats. If you look at the Radical class of racing car, they have two seats - they rarely use the second seat, but simply having it places the vehicle into the "sports car" class.

Gotta admit, the Radicals get up and go rather well, too. Based at Sydney Motorsport Park, they have track days (where you WILL see them using both seats) and we've had them at Bathurst too, both in the 12 Hour event and at Challenge.

I love all those purpose built race cars like Radical, Ariel, Caterham (+ Caterham spin-offs).
They're so pure.

My dream garage (brought to you by Tatts Lotto) would have a few of 'em in it.....probably in Section 12, Hanger 4, Lot 9, Upper level.
(In the car hanger, not the motorcycle hanger....of course).

Have owned heaps of bikes over the yrs.. nothing of mine stays standard for long .. my currant is a mk1 99 bandit 1200.. far from stock .. love to get out and clear the mind .. lot more detail in person.. keep it shiny side up all 🤙

1980 Mongoose Supergoose. I collect and restore vintage BMX bikes. We do a ride/pub crawl first Sunday of each month in Brisbane. My bro rides the ProSight. Not the “bike” you expected hey?
