You are better off setting the points using a dwell angle meter (dwell angle should be 49-55 degrees) but setting the point gap to 0.50mm or 0.020" will get you into the ballpark.

Ignition timing should be 3 degrees +-2 degrees although the secret to Z24 performance is more ignition timing, in the middle east they use 8 degrees and in europe its set to 15 degrees!
I generally run mine at 10 degrees because it pings on more than that due to our lower octane fuels. I can only run 15 degrees if I use premium fuel.
