I wouldn't ring Nissan as they will have another excuse to refuse a claim on warrenty.

I think it would work. maybe not optimal but it will work.
Thanks for the input guys, reason I ask is that I found a cheap one on ebay. Looks like I'll just have to keep saving my coin till I can get a newie.
