D22 replacing front shocks

Simple, jack the front of your car up, you dont even need to do that as the torsion bars will hold the vehicle up, the shock actually takes no weight itself. Unbolt the top by using a shifter to hold the rod so it doesnt spin and undo the bottom bolt, the bottom one may be super tight. Use some elbow grease to compress the shock enough to get it out and then put your new one in, compress the new one and line it up with the bottom mount, and as it expands to its full height guide it into the top mount.

Grg the D40 I have never done as I dont own one. But it wouyldnt be anywhere near as simple as the shock is contained within the coil spring in a MacPherson Strut setup
