Navara - 1998 D22 3.2L diesel

Hey guys, been recommended to join up from Matt76 who ive known for a few years now.

Later on today ive got a bloke who has a 1998 D22 rocking up to my work so I can go over it. Any help in finding out how good it is, is much appreciated.

He seems VERY keen to sell as he told me he is leaving Aus this comming Saturday (truth or not,..meh) anyways , from your experience is there anything i need to look out for a truck like this?

At the moment ive been told to check the following

Service history - Every Ten thousand K's at least
Noise from Gear box
Noise from front Hubs
Noise from suspension tests
Stall test to check for rattle to big end bearings
Try to move the front wheel while parked test
Rust basically anywhere, in door trims , engine mount bolts body in and out etc.

What else do I need to consider?

The QD32 should be serviced every 5000km's.

The QD32 is a very good motor, bit slow by todays standards but very reliable.

Look for smoke and check the paint, a mate has a 1997 model and the paint is peeling.

The gearbox runs the same ratios as the VG33E powered D22 and the same diff ratios if you ever have trouble with anything.
