3rd Gear Sychro

Just out of warranty and only done 8000kms in it myself.
Spent the weekend camping and some mild beach work only to get back onto the road and find my 3rd gear synchro not happy. The Nav has just cracked 90000kms. Nissan have quoted between $2500 & 3k..
Think i might find a specialist and atleast see what they will quote me..

With a bit a luck you can buy 1 snchro from Nissan.
I would have thought a days labour would see it fixed.

I was told th same thing.Nissan has a problem with them and if you jump up and down they will supply the parts for nothing.Before you do anything though change the gear box oil with a decent one and put an addative in it.I had no problems with mine after doing this

Many a people got 5th gear replaced in early GU Patrols outside of warrenty as Nissan knew they were a issue with them failing.

In saying that how many early ZD30's has Nissan replaced outside of warrenty.

If Nissan have a problem with these i would love to get my hands on some documentation...
Might have to do a little research before i get it sorted, lets hope this is a one off.

All fixed, Nissan ended up covering the whole thing, i am very happy with that.
Even though when i picked it up i couldnt down shift into any gear except 2nd.. Back to the workshop and another few days without the car. It appears no one road tested the vehicle before giving it back..
Anyhow all fixed now and ended getting a new clutch and flywheel while the box was out
the 1st time.

Very Happy Nissan came to the party!!
