Fellas,Last year three mates and I went camping for a week on Middle Percy Island for a bit of R&R.
For those that dont know Middle Percy is located 65klms off the Central Qld coast and only has two permanant residents - the caretaker and his wife. To get there my buddies and I chartered a pro fishing boat (at great expense) from Stanage Bay. The day we went over was pretty rough and it took about 2.5 hrs in a howling 25knt south westerly,but in the end we got there safely and had a great time with basically the whole Island to ourselves.
Here is a couple of pics of a remarkable Island paradise.
Thats North East Is in the distance
The two distant Islands in the pic below are Hotspur Is and Pine Peak Is (closest) They would be about 75klm offshore.
Thats South Percy Island in the background.
