ok i have a 88 model d21 4x4 navara duelcab it had a td27 motor but it is no more. would like to know the best motor to put in her for a bit more grunt without having to do much. i have noticed that there are some options but dont know where to start

Put Scotty's VG33E in.
If you want a better diesel go the QD32 or the ZD30DDT. YD25DDTI is another option.

The v6 will bolt straight up.I have a full conversion motor,gearbox all ancillaries,computer.Will bolt up to your transfer case

The QD32 will but the gearbox crossmember needs modding.
Check out Dion's thread, he dropped a QD32 into his D21.
QD32 is pretty much a bigger TD27 but they use different gearboxes. The QD32 gearbox is the same as the ZD30, YD25,VG30E, VG33E use.
