Am thinking about doing a solid axel swap & exchanging the leafs for coil overs all round on my 06 D40 STX has any one done or know of people doing it.

Yes it has been done.
2 members of this forum have posted up they're results from DIY.
I believe that it is somewhat common for 4wd shops to do but the owners of said vehicles aren't a bunch of computer nerds and so dont often put up the details.

Im dealing with a shop in NZ here & they are going to build it from scratch using Nissan Safari parts, I know it will be 3x stronger then the independent set up but just wanted a few tips on how it will handle etc etc. I know calmini do a solid axel swap kit but its for the D22 would have been cheaper to go this way but you know what they say bet big to win big aye!

how it will handle will completely depend on how it is set up and built as everything is custom. could get it right first go or it could need a full redesign. All depends on what sort of set up you want and what you want out of it.

Solid axling is not something to take lightly theres alot of shit involved and its not something i would do unless your really pushing the boundaries of your Nav as it is.

All the work will be getting done for 4wdAccessories.co.nz in NZ they have done alot of new vehicle from independent so i think the job will be on the money, It will still be my daily driver so i dont want it to be completely shit on the road & the stuff we have in New Zealand is big ruttered rocky bog mud so by doing the S.A.S im hoping it will help me out.
