Yes I feel your frustration. its the one company collecting fees for several different company's and they fob you off to each other .
I had an argument with them over a double charge for a toll and after several attempts it wasn't worth the time and money to peruse.
Yep don't know what he was thinking when he set that up but I sure as hell wouldn't want him doing any electrical work for me with a brain like that....
Ok. I haven't heard of them giving trouble before. But yes replace it with a new one as it is needed to prime the pump if required. But before that check.
Do you have a chip or other fuel sucking mod that would cause it.
Maybe its just an air lock in the fuel tank or a blockage in the lines...
Iv done it a fair few times. Last was early last year. It can be done in a day as that's how I usually do it. But you will need an early start and it will see you back late arvo.

Welcome Simon, congratulations on your new purchase. I'm sure you will love the power and economy of the nav. Its like a v8 with fuel economy of a 4. And is one of the most comfortable utes I have ever driven, which will be handy for the long distances you drive in your beautiful part of Australia.
My advice is to use genuine fuel and oil filters only, it costs a little more but will save you the headache of all the niggling problems people experience with non genuine.
Congratulations on your new ride and welcome to the forum...
Sorry to hear about your car.
Its always been my worst nightmare to come back to my pride and joy and find it gone.
These scum don't realise how hard people work for the things they have. They think they are hard done by and they have a right to take what's yours.. Slow painful death to them I...
Yea id like to know that too. Does the mechanic that diagnosed this regularly do your servicing? If the screw came from the internals of the engine it could be another thing to look at with the timing chain survey we are doing on this forum... We would love to know although its something you...
The filter only really effects start up rattle as the tensioner builds up pressure. So it may not fix your whining noise. But it will be interesting if it does...
