yeah cleaned up the contacts, made no difference i think that the contacts are just plain and simply worn.... might be forking out for one after all

camshaft position sensor is used to tell ecm the engine speed

tachometer wire is no#3 terminal on the ecm its a white wire and its a passive current used... no good for aftermarket tachos. altough the ecm needs an input for rpm maybe that might be where i can connect to it, a bit more research is needed i think

im certain that the tacho i have relies on the pulse from the coil or something similar, i dont believe that the ecm sends out pulse's but rather a passive current which is a small voltage sent out between 0v and 5v, higher revs higher the voltage well thats how i think it works. yeah my coil...

what is the best point to connect the signal wire from my aftermarket tacho

your not wrong about $130 and its not the exact same one, might pull it apart and clean the contacts,see if that does the trick

yeah ive got the exact same problem the right beam comes on then ten seconds later the right one comes on, how hard is it to change the indicator stalk

oh even better, one thing where the steering cyliner connects onto the cross road on the diagram above theres a mount or bracket, i looked at my cross road theres no bracket or bolt holes will i need to weld something on, also do u have the part number of the pump ???

we could talk about to pros an cons of every option till the cows come home, at the end of the day the problems been found and all sorts of ways to fix it

oh excellent thankyou very much to both of you, thats exactly what i was looking for, if i get a power steering system off a 4x4 all i have to do is change steering gear assembly and cross road and bolt in resivor and mount the pump to the engine... one last thing though what is the size or part...

yeah 2wd doesnt have power steering at all, can it bolt on to the steering system i have now or do i have to change it all out. ive got a manual for it coming in the mail so im hoping with fingers crossed it tells me if its possible
