I need to replace the valve body and tcm on my 2008 d40. As its an 08 model, i purchased a type 3 valve body off ebay. It arrived today so i dropped my current valve body and found that i actually have a type 2 valve body with the earlier tcm. The solenoids lok the same on both valve bodies but...

No. My auto is shifting hard but im not getting any fault codes. Seen loads of references to dropping resisters being the fault online but they are all for other cars. I dont think there is one on the d40 now.

I've been looking around the engine bay for a dropping resister but i can't find one. Does the 2.5 d40 have one? i need to check its resistance. thanks
