D40 Roof mounted lights - where to run power wires?

I have a switch wire running from the cab into the tray via an existing hole behind the rear seat. The wire from the relay goes up behind the cargo barrier and inside the roof rack rail to the light. Its a little easier to wire it this way since I have the dual battery located in the back and...

    3 inch exhaust for D40

I had a 3" Turbo back Exhaust put on my 126kW Nav. I got a pretty affordable one. I have an Auto so it was also a DPF delete. It made a noticeable improvement before I got an ECU remap a month later to properly deal with the DPF delete. If you have a DPF that gets lost in the exhaust upgrade...

    which tyres???

Bob Jane will Do BFG K02's for $300 a pop fitted (265/75/16). At least they did for me. Done about 45,000KM on them so far and there is probably about 70% tread. That includes a fair bit of driving on Corrugated roads.

    What do you tow?

.... Other Peoples cars... Trailer about 750KG - SantaFe 2000KG hhahah, I also do have a '56 Humber Super Snipe which I will likely be towing around shortly. The Nav does really well and with decent springs/shocks in the back it dosent seem to sag as long as you load er up properly. But...

    D40 intercooler hard pipe replacement

You can get hard pipe kits for as low as $88 on ebay. Saves a bunch of stuffing around trying to make your own. I put mine in in about 15 mins.

Super maintenance time on the Nav

Well I got ebay bearings... they arrived yesterday and appear to be correct. I'll likely be fitting them this Sunday, I'm guessing the bearings should be like a 4 hour job?? On sunday I'll also get to the turbo leak and fix some wiring issues hopefully. I'l buy some decent brake pads and fit...

Super maintenance time on the Nav

I got some DBA 23110S Discs in the hopes they would help, but they didn't fit. kinda gun shy about buying another set that I cant return. But the premium on buying them in a bricks and mortar store is pretty big last time I looked. Also... if anyone is after a brand new set of 23110S Discs....

Super maintenance time on the Nav

Cheers Jonney, I'll look at the diff Oil and do the brake pads this weekend. I already have a torque wrench so that should be no issue. I'll probably do the bearings next weekend. Any recommendations on brake pads? Or just getting good ones at repco will be fine?

Super maintenance time on the Nav

The Nav has been flogged pretty hard in the last 4 months doing a 11,000KM trip, doing several days of towing other cars long distance on trailers, spending several days in -7 degrees and various other 1000K+ trips. All its seen is basic Oil+ Filter changes and now there is a pile of maintenance...

    engine re mapping

Sorry, I completely forgot about even having posted a reply. If its still relevant to you, yes it was fairly noticeable. I have used the nav to tow a fair bit and the extra torque was surely beneficial. Towing about 2400KG out of adelaide up that notorious hill maintaining 70KPH was not too big...

Tanami, Broome and Darwin in 1 month and 1 day.

Our campsite in broome. I had the most relaxing 3 days of my life here. It was glorious. I'll call this "Franks Campground" In Cape Leveque On the road between cape leveque and broome. 6 Jerrys are on the roof as I have to carry Diesel for the Nav and Petrol for the Pajero which didnt have a...
