Got it done today, just ran the wires back to the tail light loom where it connects into the back of the light. The wiring sits behind the left side of the tub liner out of sight.. All good so far.

G'day guys , i have picked up a black sports bar off a new D40 st-x 550 and wanting to wire the LED brake light to my 08 st-x . Does anybody know the easiest / safest way of doing this ??

Still waiting on a new cap from Nissan (ballarat vic) not entirely there fault - shipment went missing !! Cap definately has some sort of relief valve in it so when it comes in and i put it on I shall keep you posted as to how it goes :)

Ok he said he would run diagnostics so all good there, have to call him back tommorow to let him know how I went tonight once I got home, left the cap off once home and haven't heard a thing. Be handy to get the valve on the tank done if it is the problem, save me another trip ! Still under...

Ok so a new cap may or may not fix this, any idea how easy it is to get to this valve on the tank? And suction control valve on the pump, please explain? Booked in for service Friday week so I want to get this thing over and done with and to make sure they have whatever bits they need in the...

Talking to a nissan technician today, he actualy heard the noise, we removed the fuel cap and no more noise!! Looks like pressure build up which is not relieving out of the cap as designed!

Defiantly fuel tank, or above it !

Wondering if Arty's has had second filter / pump added !!

Yes I bought the vehicle 2nd hand, a year old. Not sure if it's had a second lift pump or filter fitted, a little hard to see from underneath. Maybe it could have though as the noise was clearly a pump. Best still tho to get the genius's to check the wiring relay and plug their gear in and check...

Sorry, yes the d40 is a diesel. So there is no pump in the tank on a 08 STX D40? Only in the engine bay?

Also it seems to be occur alot more after a long trip. Can cut in and out for for to five seconds every 10 ~ 15 minutes, this happens for hours after the vehicle is switched off and locked

Pressure equalising valve makes sense if it has one and designed to do so, tapping on the bottom of the tank setting it off tho is still a concern to me, maybe it's just very sensative!!

It definitely isn't a/c fan, it cuts in (in the fuel tank) right when I'm laying under it , it's obviously in the tank! It's booked in for 45 thou km service in next 2 weeks. Still under warranty so really want get this thing nutted out so il have some ideas to throw at the genius's at Nissan...

Hi guys , I have a 08 stx navara and was hoping someone might know why the fuel pumps keeps coming on even after the engine is switched off and car is locked! It only runs for about 4 to 5 seconds and I've noticed if u lay under the vehicle and tap the tank , that also will make the pump come on...
