    D22 Horn

Thanks for all the suggestions. Truck air horn on top of the cab roof would look good but not sure where I would put the air tank and pump to run it haha Found a website for Stebel horns, you could listen to them on the site. might have to listen again and check the size to make sure it will...

    D22 Horn

2003 D22, does anyone know what the decibel out put was on the original meepmeep/roadrunner horn. I need something a hell of a lot louder. Far too many deaf idiots on the road now and I need to waken them up with something REAL loud. Cheers

How to keep a d22 with 386000kms on it going strong?

I won't get into an argument but, I did a bit of research about the ZD30 before I bought my old Nav. From what I could find was, a grenade waiting to go off was for the motors in the patrol. So far, I've had no problems with my old Nav. I think 476,000K on the clock says it all. Treat is...

I was always wondering about it. Seen stories about blocked oil pickups. The old girl is still going well so I ain't gunna worry about her. I reckon she will out live me haha

How to keep a d22 with 386000kms on it going strong?

2003 D22 with a brilliant ZD30 motor. Ticked over to 476,100 k's a few days ago. This is the only tips I can give. They like fresh oil. Usually about every 5K or when I see it going slightly black. Then it's oil and filter change. I have learnt you will feel it in the motor performance when...

    Oil Pick Up

So I guess I would have to take the oil pan off. Not gunna bother with that as all is ok. I was just wondering, I do a lot of that in my old age hahaha Thanks anyway

Combination gauge / dash backlights '07 STR

A few years back, I had mine replaced but by an Auto Electrician. The old globes has "Silvered". Somewhere on this forum is the globes I was told to do the replace but the sparkie said no. New globes were put in but I still can't see the dash until it's pitch black at night. It gives me the...

Sorry to all, getting old and more stupid by the day. I need to do another oil change but something I've never bothered looking at. Can I see the oil pick thru the oil drain plug outlet.

    Hi from Perth

Dunno about the 2006 model but the ZD30 isn't a race motor. Keep it as standard as you can and don't mess with chipping. The motor loves fresh oil about every 5K. if it doesn't have an intercooler, try the IFS winch version intercooler, it was one of the first things I put on my old gal. I...

D22 Zd30 engine rattling noise during acceleration

Is the rattle when cold or even after your engine is up to running temp ? My old girl rattles when first started but when she warms up it is gone.

    Oils

Hi All Since the saga of the Penrite first raised it's ugly head, I wasn't going to change the filter again so I just filled her up with my usual Castrol oil. it took a good 5 and a half litres to show full on the dip stick. must have been some left in the pan. Been keeping an eye on it and it...

Brake Lights on when parked up

So this morning I turn my self into a pretzel and have a good look at the brake pedal. At my age, my back now hurts and I'm in a cranky mood hahaha There is no side ways movement in the pedal but there is the 0 to 5 mil movement in the up and down. I thought there would have been a return...

Correct. I only fix problems as they happen. I don't go out of my way to create problems.
