Uni clutch looks good. Watched a video on this recently. They basically come as a pre assembled unit and a dual mass flywheel type setup built in. Worth looking into.
When i turn my boost up i get some chatter from the gearbox so this may resolve that
Hey all,
The noise is very subtle but just as I pull up you can hear the ticking noise. seems to go away fairly quickly so hard to jump out and open bonnet.
I put a turbo on the QD32 not that long ago.
Everything's been running pretty good.
No excessive temps or issues.
Oil pressure at idle...
Clutch is going great. No slipping at all.
This is the clutch i got, its an exedy. They machined new alignment holes for the new pins and new holes for the bolts.
Not sure if npc modified the clutch plate at all, forgot to ask
Im back to 14psi till i sort my fuel pump out. Seeing 14 at 2000ish rpm.
When it was on 18psi i was seeing 12psi at 1500rpm. Maybe had a little extra fuel down low which helped.
Im now pulling a 2t trailer up a hill faster than i could before the turbo without the trailer.
So yeh heaps more power.
I Think bearing suppliers have a tolerance/acceptable amount of free play over x distance depending on the amount of bearings and space between. If that makes sense 😅
Think my input shaft had a little play as well. The clutch plate has springs and free floats. Im sure in the workshop manual it...
Why the change?
Im guessing the timing and pressures may be different. You'd probably need it rebuild and calibrated to suite your motor, by then might as well rebuild/upgrade yours?
Not sure what motor or even model your referring to. I bent up 2 bits of steel and clamped a vise grip onto both bits of steel and levered it out. Was nice and easy. Made it so when they were back to back they matched the width of the bush. Took 5min to make the tool. Tapped new one in with a...
Went camping the weekend before last.
100km drive out towards Aratula, filled up in Brisbane to the filler and then filled up at Aratula and averaged 10.3L/100km which was awesome.
4wdriving was great. the extra power was handy in low range as well!
clutch still hasn't slipped again since I...
600 with a sensor post turbo would be right. Mines pre turbo so there is about 200degree difference. Mine will read higher, but more accurately and faster. Post sensor will be slightly delayed and drops in temp by time it reaches sensor.
Mine in factory form (no turbo) with egt sensor on the...
beach drive went great.
couldnt get EGT over 650 on the beach so I can lean on the fuel a little more.
Fuel economy went from about 14L/100 to 12.5L/100 on a 60K drive.
will test fuel economy a bit more this weekend.
Oil temp on the beach got about to a bit over 90 degrees, oil pressure on the...
