    Yea i figured the same, so i did exactly that. Didn't notice anything different though. Might have to do some experiments. Theoretically the swirl "feature" does improve combustion at low rpm. It increases the velocity of the intake air causing it spin around the combustion chamber.

    Just a thought, (i know its an old thread) but the mods to the vacuum lines don't block the swirl line.

    Still saving for that im afraid. The other option is to just pull the stock dump pipe off and somehow clear out the catalyst material inside.

    Sorry to wake this thread up, but looking at a water/air intercooler for my D22 2004. Yay/nah? The intercooler will be moutned as close as possible to the engine but will be wrapped, with the radiator mounted up front.

    Gonna bring this thread back to life - just got a second hand Nav. 2004 Black D22. Just did the egr blanking plate mod using a lump of galvanised steel, and also disabled the swirl valve with a ball bearing in the pipe. It also came with the catch can. Today i had the main muffer cut out, so...
