    Warranty claims

Thanks Tweak'e, I was hoping that might be the case, although if it was that sensitive wouldn't it move all the time? I.E. creep up a bit when at the lights, and pushing uphill etc? the needle stays in the same spot all day long when it gets to operating temp. I'm just glad Nissan have covered...

    Warranty claims

Hey guys, So I've had my ST NP300 back to nissan about 6 times now for 3 different warranty claims. Who has had the same/similar (or different) problems, and what was the outcome? 1) rear sliding window, mechanism popped off before 1000km service. The whole window was replaced and re- tinted...

    gearbox oil leak

So I finally got the ute booked in to get the oil leak fixed. It turns out that it was a seal in the transfer case. Nissan replaced the whole transfer case under warranty without any protest. In fact I must say I was really impressed with the service that I got from Clarkson Nissan (perth).

    throttle problems

Sorry for hijacking your thread. The temperature in the mornings here (Perth) is usually about 12- 15 degrees, so not real cold. You've got me thinking about the head gaskets/warpage thing now. I haven't noticed it happen for a while but i'll keep a closer eye on it now. I wonder if an air...

    2" Drivetech Lift Kit

I'm looking around at lift kits at the moment. Just wondering how much did you pay?, and how much lift did you get? i.e. was it a full 2 inches?

    throttle problems

I haven't had the issues you describe, but I have noticed if I'm sitting at the lights and put the clutch in but then let it out again in neutral, the revs momentarily go up by about 500rpm or so. also completely unrelated, I've noticed sometimes as the engine warms up from dead cold in the...

73.P3 FAULT CODE - Fuel pump

Hi Solanum, I went through similar trouble a while ago, its on this forum under "damned 0707 code." if you search that it will come up with all the advice I received, and what I tried to fix it. I'd start off clearing the codes and reading them again when the light comes on. I can't remember...

    Fuel Tank - 80 litres???

I have a theory as to why it may keep 20l or so in reserve: We all know injector pumps in these common rail fuel systems work at really high pressures and small tolerances etc, etc... These pumps are cooled by the diesel flowing through them, and the excess diesel being returned to the tank...

    gearbox oil leak

As the title would suggest, I have a gearbox oi leak. NP300 ST about 18 months old, 36,000kms. there's not enough of a leak to leave oil marks on the driveway, but there definately is drips hanging on the bottom of the box. I haven't taken it in yet, but I will be before warranty runs out...

suspension issues - grinding noise when going over large speed humps

Hi, I have just over 23,000 kms now and have noticed a kind of rubbing noise on larger bumps and off roading too. I seemed to be able to slightly feel it through the steering wheel too, but I'm not sure if I was imagining that. I had a look underneath when I was doing the oil change, and noticed...

    Patrol VP44 into d22 Navara

Okay, So I've read stuff about it before, but I can't seem to find it when I need it. I need to replace the injector pump in my ZD30. I've seen a cheap patrol ZD30 motor with a reconditioned vp44 on it, but can't remember what the differences may be. Is it that it will fit if the part numbers...

Fuel filter change and Pre filters

haha that's true highwayman, but the way that desert hucker described how the system is pretty much "auto priming" sounds a hell of a lot better than pumping the bloody primer plunger on my old D22. I'd hate to think how many hours i've spent on the end of that plunger over the years.
