Looking for some feedback in relation to the Kanati Trail Hogs.
I have heard some good things about them from the Nissan Navara Brisbane guys and was wondering if anyone has had them for an extended period and willing to comment about on road noise and how the tyres are wearing...
Old.Tony I had a suspicion about the clutch slipping when I finally a realised that the increase in revs didn't seem to translate into increase in speeds. You could put a month old fish under my nose and if I was blindfolded I probably couldn't tell you it was there and maybe why I can't smell...

There would have been one slight hill in the 2nd data set on the 2nd CSV. The 2nd data set on the 1st CSV had a more significant hill but the all the throttle data...
Thanks 4naving just checked on the Torque app and it is reading 0.0-0.1psi boost when at idle. I guess that means no need to correct the psi at max boost then?
Old.Tony great questions it is running a stock turbo and no chip. It has only had one previous owner the Father in Law and he has told me he hasn't done anything to the engine, turbo or put in a chip. Only engine mods are an EGR blank, Catch can and a snorkel (if you count a snorkel).

Yeah that is pretty close to full throttle and if I don't give it anything and keep it under 2200rpm then nothing happens. In 6th gear it goes from about 2400rpm to 3000rpm and drops back to about 2500rpm without much extra acceleration.

An update Suction Control Valve has been replaced and an ECU reset has been completed with no change to symptoms.
Old.Tony the ECU was reprogrammed when the new injector went in I ensured I asked Diesel Australia about that when I picked it up. By good luck more than good planning I have been...

I have been doing some thinking and some reading and I am starting to think that perhaps my surge followed by loss of power was perhaps a little misleading. I am starting to lean towards the surge being a slip of the clutch and then the loss of power...
Thanks Connaught I have another near new Fuel filter sitting there as they had to change it over when the did the injector for the warranty... so I may change it over and see what happens. The vacuum lines look in pretty good nick I would say they were replaced before I got it but may go down...
Thanks again for everyone's input on this thread. As I haven't had much exposure on mechanical things in the past I have learnt a great deal and I am willing to give some things a shot...
I did have my Neutral Position switch fail in Jan this year and it was replaced in Feb the symptoms then...
Sorry Old Tony I only just read your reply. I have already installed a new one and done an ECU reset it has seemed to improve the engine idle however the problem on acceleration still persists.
After doing some more reading on the topic and driving around trying to describe the problem could...

I am going to explore the SCV in more detail and report back with the findings. Given that they are a substantially cheaper fix than an injector I am hoping we are on the right track...
