Did the test this morning tony gauge didn't do anything in the first few seconds and climbed slowly up to temp in the 10mins it was idling.

Ill check this tomorrow night and let you know tony. What does it mean if it does or doesn't read after the time?

Thx tony I was thinking earth fault as I am an auto elec but it seems wierd that it's only the temp gauge being affected and only on deceleration. If it was when I was braking or something I would lean more towards an earth as there are electrical loads then but not when I just take my foot off...

I was towing my caravan today and noticed that when I took my foot off the throttle and coasted my temp gauge would drop down then as soon as I accelerated again it would operate normally. Has anyone else had this happen?

Recently bought my first Navara ,D40 yd25 auto trans, mostly to be used as a tow vehicle for my caravan. Van weighs 1500kgs just wondering if there are any tips I need to know. Should I tow with overdrive off is one question id like answered. TIA.
