    Fitting bullbar with inbuilt foglights

Hi Fellas, I am fitting an Ironman steel bullbar that comes with foglights included. My D40 did not come with foglights as standard, so there is no dash switch in the cabin. What do I need to do /get from Nissan, to hook up the foglights on the bulbar to the D40? Cheers toad

    Fuel consumption.

We just did 9,000kms return trip Sydney to top of Cape York. The D40 diesel (manual with canopy) was really loaded up. Best was 10.1 l/100km on the freeway at 100kmh. Worst was 12.5 l/100km between Charters Towers and Emerald - but we averaged something like 115 kmh. Overall average for the...

    Value of tyres?

I've done a bit of both. Namely, I bought a spare set of 4 Nissan alloys with Conti's off ebay for $600. I sold the tyres within a day for $300. I bought Bridgestone 694LT in 265.70.16 size for the upcoming big trip. These are now on the ute. The set with Conti's will be put back on after we...

IDEA - smal toolbox in tray for aux batt - will it work

Making your own box is satisfying, but I bought a metal cradle on ebay for my D40. Sits on the drivers side rear wheel arch , holds a battery box and the agm battery. All neat and tidy.

    Lift kits for D40's

Whatever lift you decide to fit, make sure you get a wheel alignment after the lift. For what it's worth, I had ARB do our ute, price included alignment, plus a return in about 500km for checking etc. No dramas, the car drives better and is not as loose in the front when standard.

    Hi everyone

Hi Navman, Welcome. If you are new to four wheel driving, I think you really should get some expert tuition. Makes all the difference when out and about with the family and things get tricky. I'd suggest joining a local 4WD club. Love the colour of the D40 by the way, same as the missus'...

D40 Navara what lift kit & tyres?

We have ARB lift and it works well. They only quote 35-40mm but the actual lift seems more like 50mm. The front end is less vague and general ride comfort seems improved. 275/70 R16 - Are you talking tyres or wheels? D40 comes standard with Continental 255/70/R16's

How to dust seal D40 tailgate

Thanks Peter, I'll give it a go and report back. I will also try and put some sort of foam in the gaps with double sided tape and see what happens.

How to dust seal D40 tailgate

G'day, I never worried too much about the yawning gaps in the tailgate of the D40 until we put on a canopy. Now because the rear is quite bit darker when looking back through the rear window, you can see bright daylight through the gaps on each side. Off road, dust just pours in. Has anyone...

    toad here

Saying g'day for the first time. Since I have a company car (Golf GTI), I bought the missus a D40 TD last year. She's rapt, treats it like it's her own! I have to beg her to borrow it! Bought the Navara as a replacement for her MX5, and I reckon she prefers the beast (she's named it Bubba) cheers

    Dual Battery Set Up

I used a Sidewinder portable power pack from Affordable Batteries and Radiators (ABR) Brisbane. t's called a Flyer. It contains all the geara necessary, incliuding an isolator. I mounted it on the right rear wheel arch using a cradle bought on ebay. All you then need to buy is a suitable...
