Non Turbo TD27 Diesel. Yeah bigger tyres but nothing extravagent. Since ive ha the gearbox rebuilt it seems to be using more fuel, and reeving higher.

Just wondering what everyones RPM sits on when doing 100km in 5th on a flat freeway ? Mine sites just under 3000 sometimes a little over depending on the grade of road, to me it seems a bti high ?

It seems to be running slow, like struggling or low powered, since the rebuild. Like i put my foot down in 4th and have to put it to the floor to get up speed, just seems like something is holding it back? Any ideas? either way im taking it back to the rebuild shop to ask them about it next weekl.

Fixed teh gauge problem was loose wiring, after doing that simple test by earthing to the block, thanks for that ! Now its just the whirring sound, possibly power steering pump or other bearing not sure, will get it checked, it only does it certain rpm.

Yeah the radiator and pump are both only 10,000km old, no leaking anywhere, coolant still green as grass in the radiator, will take to mechanic let them sort it, but that wouldnt explain the temp gauge jumping and shaking like a bitch would it?

Can anyone tell me how i crank up the idle for a diesel navara? Im new to diesels so yeah i have no idea. On idle its real low like 500rpm, want to wind it up to 700 or 800.

The fan moves quite easily, same as when the engine is cold as it does when hot. Maybe its new water pump time? Thouhgh im sure its only 10000km old.......

Checked the fan, nothing rubbing, all fluids are full. Will search the forums for the fan hub issue.

Dont quote me on this, but i bought a canopy just recently from a guy with a 2wd dual cab, when i got it home it was about 5cm too long to fit on my 4x4 dual cab, so im thinking the 4x4 dual cab tubs are shorter than 2wd, as for the wheel bulge im not sure.....

Fitted Canopy today, was off a D21 2WD dual cab, but it was 5cm too long, not sure if 2wd and 4x4 had same tub lengths, but $80 for the canopy and a few hours of labor later we made it fit !

Fitted a fibreglass canopy, that was meant to be for my car but wasnt, had to shorten it 5cm.

No respray, just a good polish and mechanical buff, it has its blemishes they just dont show in photos lol. I cant wait to take it for a 4wd, its pretty gutless being a non turbo but ive heard they are still pretty capable and are good strong engines for the small size.
