Hi mate i was running a unifilter on mine but only done about 3000km with it before i sold the car. Seemed like a good thing for the time i had it and seemed to increase throttle response a little aswell.

yeah i think bigger might be the go, although by the time i buy a specific drill bit and tap i might as well go the helicoil? will have to hit up the bolt master man and see what prices he gives me

I quit 2 years ago due to cost and have been much better off for it but if they increase the price to stupid levels then most people will quit and the government will have to find somewhere else to get is money from? just a thought!

yeah mate when in forth gear if you pull the gear stick toward your leg the car will start shuddering/jerking. the problem is with the neutral/gear pos sensor just below the gear stick on the right hand side of the box.

yeah mate that would be the go, a cheapie will do the job. Just T piece it off the boost sensor on the crossover pipe and it should read around 15-16 psi

Are you using a hose adapter? if so it needs to be earthed aswell, mine has a small allen key bolt in it which is where the earth for the sender goes.

i installed one the other day, speco gauge and 38mm hose adapter off ebay, temp sits around 90deg C, seems to work well.

If you want paint to stick on alloy the best method is to scrub it with an acid called Deoxidine and scotch bright, then apply alodine 1200 to it, then prime and paint. That is the procedure used for painting Defence force aircraft (aluminium ones any way).

it will probably look better once all of the covers etc have been removed.
