    exhaust upgrades

I had my muffler delete pipe fitted last week. I now have that, the EGR block and a K&N air filter fitted and I'm not sure its just me, but the car drives so much smoother. It just seems to not labour as much and can cruise better in the lower revs. There isnt much sound difference with the...

    exhaust upgrades

When you say you "learnt the hard way" re the muffler, how so???? Is it too loud without one or does it run like shite. I have just purchased a muffler delete pipe so now I'm worried!!

DPF Nissan Service information - Interesting reading

I guess also the lack of a DPF light on the dash would also be a clue. Looked under and does not appear to be there. I had a Pajero prior to owning the Nav and that had the DPF so I am familiar with what they look like (and the issues etc etc). Need to get the 20K service done and when I...

DPF Nissan Service information - Interesting reading

Sorry to hash up an old thread but I have a simple question. Does my 2013 D40 ST diesel auto (Spanish built) have a DPF?? One Nissan service bloke tells me that it does and another tell me that it doesn't. I was sure that it didn't but just need to clarify before I get it serviced. Cheers

    Possible issue with CTEK 250s

Disconnected the cable from the starter and gave it a clean, although nothing on it to suggest any build up of crap. Replaced it and hey presto, charger worker perfectly. Straight up to 14.4 volts and all was good. I did say was!! Has since gone back to what it was doing before, sometimes...

    Possible issue with CTEK 250s

I may be experiencing some issues with my CTEK 250s so thought I would go to the experts for some advice. My 250s is mounted in the rear tub on top of the battery box. I've installed it all myself and up to this point (8 months) have had no issues. Recently I have noticed that the battery...

    Capped Price Servicing for D40

I've booked my Nav in for the 1st service (10k) and have been quoted $306 or there abouts. Certainly more than what is advertised but cant recall seeing anything re the auto, just extra for the DPF. I might be mistaken but does a 2013 ST (Spanish) have a DPF? I thought it didn't .

    D40 Fuel Economy

I own a Sept build 2013 ST dual cab auto and so far for the 6,500 km's travelled I'm averaging 10.95 L/100 km. My last fill tonight netted 12.17 which was all city driving. I haven't managed to give it a good long run as yet but next month planning a trip to Tahlia SA for some salmon fishing so...

    UHF Install

Planning on installing mine next week and was wondering what side is easier to thread the wires through the firewall? I'm running the uhf from my aux battery in the back so need to run the fused power fires and the coax cable through to the interior. Is it easier to get the cables through the...

    Just blocked EGR but..

Put mine in just after the 1,000km check in my 2013 Spanish ST and no codes. Have just taken it out at 5,000km as it's got to get an oil leak checked at the top of the motor so playing it safe with Nissan. There was a bit of gunk on it so have cleaned that off but I'm still unsure if I'll put it...

What did you do to your navara today?

Drove to work today. But yesterday started the UHF instal by putting on the GME AE4704b antenna on the bull bar. Gotta admit, the black whip matched to the black base spring looks mighty good on the black Nav. Now just have to wire it through and power it up!!!!

    Auto slow to change down

Mine is a Sept '13 build ST auto and does exactly the same thing. There is a climb about 300m long on my way home and if the Nav changes to 4th just at the bottom, it does exactly as you describe, engine really starts to labour and revs drop with the shuddering. Either have to pop the boot down...

    Uneven revs

Where would one find the earth point for the ECU? I'll have a look and see if it may be a cause. Cheers. If it is how they drive, it's pretty crap. Regardless of revs it does it so I'll check the earth and go from there. Ta.

    Electric Brake Controller Installation

Cool, thanks for that. I'll grab my trailer on the weekend and see if it is working correctly

    Electric Brake Controller Installation

I had my Tekonsha installed yesterday by ARB while they did my reverse camera. I had it in my Paj and ripped it out at sale time as it works great with the camper trailer. I have noticed since the new install that when I swipe the override switch without a trailer attached, the brake lights on...

    Uneven revs

Hi all, had the Nav now for a few months and was just wondering if anyone's had experienced uneven revs in the rev range (best I can describe it!!!). When I accelerate, just as it's about to change from 3rd to 4th, the revs drop slightly then rise again just before the change. This seems to...

Moved to the Dark Side of the Dual Cab

Hi all, Having owned a Pajero for the past 5 and a half years, I have decided to jump camp and delve into the dual cab market. I placed an order for a spanking new D40 ST auto late Jan and after much saga, screaming, swearing and rants, I collected said beast about 2 weeks ago. Have wanted a...
