I drove a ranger and it was crap so really dont know what you are taking. All utes have there ups and downsides, i picked the Navara because it suits my needs. Dont tell me your comparing the D22 with the D23????

The d23 does have a capped price service that is currently set at $527 for the 20k service. Maximum capped service is the 60k service at $700 plus dollars. Couldnt remember exact figure. As for an ecu retune and a software upgrade, the upgrade may remove the engine remap pending on the upgrade...

Unfortunately my deal didn't include free servicing. It is now a 12mth service or 20000km. But never the less, still charging $500 for an oil change and visual checks is just crazy. Wanted to find out if anyone has had this done at a dealer and if there were any software upgrades to be done...

So with your analysus above, to compensate for the large sagging experienced when towing, i use a WDH and this works pretty well but i dont think its the cure due to the WDH's limitations. Would air bag suspension be the answer?

The digital figure does look good, unfortunately its simply not accurate. This is a known issue and Nissan are sorting out a fix in the not too distant decade. Glad you enjoy the ute, it does the job well.

Now that looks much better and more tuff. One funny thing is in the pictures underneath, they still have the original spare. Not sure why they left it under the car. Good spot for an extended fuel tank.

Some people just have too much spare money.

My wife drives the ute now and the economy has gone from 7 l/100km back up to 9 l/100km. She keeps blaming everything else, I keep telling her it's not a bloody sports car!

More and more cars these days have an inbuilt analysis tool that depicts how hard you drive and will recommend a service schedule for oil changes. if your doing alot of towing, then the normally recommended 20k service wont apply. They are even bringing out cars now that have no oil dip stick...

Have to agree with the consensus of everyone here, it's not likely going to be a warranty replacement but if your an excellent customer to the dealer, they will replace it for you if they will make alot more money from you down the track.
