hey mate, an old bloke that i used to work with had a similar problem with a boat so his solution was to mount a tow ball reciever to the front of his car, he said it was easier to steer the trailer and there was less pressure on the clutch in a forward gear how true any of this is i'm not sure...
hey ben try a nook and cranny roller,[about 100 mm wide] you can buy a sponge roller for it and apply quite thick to get the hammer effect, if you are still having trouble getting the effect you can try thinning it but be very sparing as you don't want it to run

hey billy, i just did mine, i had the radiator and fan removed and then the right length extention for the socket [no universal] the hardest part of the job was cleaning the old gasket, now i have a qd32 but i've done the same thing on a mates patrol with a zd30
hey mate, good to see you got it all sorted out, after you have re adjusted them [i had to re do it 3 times over about 3 months] you want to make sure that your adjustment bolts sit up inside the cross member so that they don't get knocked off by a rock or log when you're out bush, it's a pain...

hey mate I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago I managed to round the nut with a ring spanner, I then tried stilsens and ended up cutting it with a hacksaw very slow and painfull I got about half way through and then hit it with a hammer and cold chisel I'm still having night mares lol...
hey mate, I have an auto locker in the front of my series 1 d22 and I love it but when not in 4wd my diff and cv's don't turn so it doesn't affect the day to day driving, if I was in your shoes I would be looking into the affects of an auto locker on your fuel economy and tyre ware before making...
