I have ICON coilovers that that give me 3" of lift in the front. The limiting factor to the front suspension is the short control arms. Even with after-market upper controls you can't max out the C.V's.

I don't see how a suspension lift could effect shifting. Now a body lift would effect shifting with a manual unless the shifter was extended.

I have a 3 inch suspension lift with no problem.
