    Burrowa-Pine Mountain National Park

Hey guys, Any of you fellas been up to the Burrowa-Pine Mountain NP? I'm thinking of taking the missus up that way over the Melb. Cup long weekend, then across to Omeo via the Benambra - Corryong Rd and then if it's open, down Dargo High Plains Rd. Can anyone confirm if Dargo High Plains is...

    Few quick questions

Thanks mate, the missus hasn't flagged the Barossa as somewhere she wants to go so I'll stay away! :-) Appreciate it! Cheers.

    victorian trip

Hey mate. Reckon probably a good place to start would be around the Grampians. It's certainly not a hardcore 4x4 area, but I spent a couple of days driving around up there in my standard height D22 and a mate in his standard rodeo. If you're new to 4x4ing then its not too bad just to get a...

    Few quick questions

G'day Fellas, Myself and the missus are heading over to S.A on a bit of a trip late July for a bit of R&R. Have seen a place called the Bendleby Ranges (www.bendlebyranges.com.au), and was wondering if anyone has been there and what it's like. It's all private land, so you pay to get in (for a...

    what to see

Out towards the 12 apostles/GOR... You could head out to Gellibrand/Forrest/Beech Forest and try the local pubs etc... Forrest has a micro-brewery if you'd prefer that. Mind you, I prefer the recently revamped/reopened "Wonky Donkey" in Forrest (that's the name of the pub). There is also the...

    Fridge and hardlid...

G'day fellas. Just a quick one. Am looking into getting a fridge for my ute so I can start doing some trips am at the point where it looks like I've gotta buy a canopy as well, and ditch the hardlid. Has anyone been able to get a reasonably sized fridge under a hardlid or is a canopy a must for...

    Upcoming trips?

The Otways is also good, although pretty wet this time of year, and most of the decent 4x4 tracks are closed till it dries out a bit in Spring.

    eildon pondage

Did you catch much mate? How much water is up there at the moment? I should take the missus for a cruise up there one day....

    Favourite camping spots?

If you can get a quiet weekend down there with no dickheads, Stevensons Falls in the Otways is a reasonable campground. It's closed till November 5 for upgrades at the moment, but it's quiet, plenty of room for the kids, dogs on leads and there's a creek which I've been told has some fairly...

    Lets plan another bush trek!

I'd be a bit keen for a day trip somewhere, providing I'm not racing that weekend! lol. Stock D22 with Cooper ST's though, so I hope I'm not restricting anyone who wants stuff a bit harder :-)

    Wombat State Forest on Sunday?

Would've loved to come along but I've got standby this weekend and the possibility of burning off... Gotta love it! lol. Ambers is on the other side of O'Briens crossing... From Carrolls it's fair easy to get to.... Firth Park Rd, left onto O'Briens Trk, follow to through, can't miss it I...

    Wombat state forest.

ONLOCK - nah not really mate. Have only been here a couple of months. Am slowly working my way through 'em though. It's a shame though, as alot of the good tracks (with equally good areas for a night or 2 camping) are locked up. Krankin - cheers mate. Definately am!
