    4x4 dashboard indicator not lighting

You'll probably find that one of those "circuits" is a LED. look for a ittle stub of plastic that will sit behind the indicator light.. Just for you info. As stated, the ight is driven from the gear selection some where. AIRI, you have to actually drive in 4x4 for it to come on and it only...

    Guns--storage of behind back seat

If you moved the jack, you could probably do it. We fitted a whole pile of stuff behind our DC back seat. it would just be a question of length and how you're going to mont it. Also, as someone has pointed out legality? You could consider making dual storage trays with one side as a gun...

    Navara Purchase

My 2c about people who complain about lack of power is that they almost all are lead foot speedsters. FWIW, we used our 2010 2.5 to cart 1.5tonne CT up some steep hills with no problems. If you ignore the off FWs that think they own the road, it is fine. The only problem with the trailer on...

    How many km's on your D22 ?

For the sake of the thread, we just traded our 2010 and it only had 67K over that period. mostly bad health issues prevented greater use.

    Family tents for bad weather?

You'd be better off looking at this style https://www.bcf.com.au/coi-leisure-ridge-tent-pole-23cm/308865.html?cgid=BCF021535 Needs two pointy end end poles and you make up one or two square end (swap point/C for square U) support poles for the middle, depending on the length. We have a 30'x24'...

    Family tents for bad weather?

I'd need more info on situation and famiy to give a specific recommendation. What will work in one situation, might not work in another and "families" have different and evolving needs. Probably the lightest and biggest is the largest tarp( plus poles, ropes and pegs) you can carry. Family...

    Warning: Aust 4wd Hire

From this ABC articles, it appears they are running a number of scams. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-07-07/4wd-hire-company-refutes-litany-of-scamming-complaints/9935858 You may want to warn any mate that is considering using them. A very big warning for me was the reported hire condition...

    NSW-experiences with getting trailer re-registered.

For various reasons, I spent this month last year in hospital, smack bang when the camper trailer rego neded to be renewed. There wasn't anyone "in the family" capable of hitching it up and taking it to the couple of places it needed to go(tyre, then rego check). Consequently, it has been out...

    Deceptive site!

Fixed No red page or warning today 22/10/17, so it must be "fixed". after last visit, I found the pagethere you can say "Nahh, itys okay mate" and filled it in. No idea if it helped. I still get the "inmsecure stuff" but that is related to not using HTTPS.

Any Van Experience?; in the market

This seems to be the best area to ask for people's experiences. Unfortunately, we have to retire our 2010 D22 manual as I do't drive anymore and SWMBO's knee has gone dickey, so we have to get an auto somthing. My lifelong preference has always been a van, but the last one we prchased was in...

    Deceptive site!

Tony, I don't know a lot about web site hosting(mine is still in the boonies), but I think there are a number of bits that might be kicking off the warning; a)the site redirects, b) if I remember correctly it also attempts to feed chat and Gallery stuff, and c) it is still http(as is mine). The...

    tyre use by dates!

My 2c is horses for courses. People/companies are just starting to collect data on usable tyre life and the usual FUD merchants are passing off their farts as knowledge. If you're hammering rough roads, then the fresher, the tyre, the more flexibility to meet the various surface variations. If...

    Nissan to buy into Mitsubishi

. Even before news broke in April that Mitsubishi Motors had been playing fast and loose with Japanese regulators over fuel economy tests, the company had been struggling to compete in its domestic market and was on life support here in the US. Nissan, on the other hand, has been doing quite...

    Dash rocker switch

Somewhere in one of the threads is a link to a mob that sells very nice switches that allow customised labels if you want the look. But otherwise, they are just a standard size you can pick up in a lot of places. Quality?

Vibration at 1700-2000 D22 diesel 4x4 *PLEASE HELP*

Err, your revs should be over 2,000 for driving. You generally don't get the full power under 2,000 revs as the TC doesn't really kick in. try keeping it down a gear until it is over 2,000 revs. Also, can you post future questions in the appropriate sub forum, like d22 engine in this case.

    Optus or Telstra?

This poll has been going so long, that things have changed a bit and look to change more. The POTS is still Telstra and moved to NBN, but I'm no longer welded to them. After multiple week long outages earlier in the year, blah. We've picked up a VOIP and for $20/month, I'll save from the...

    Cigarette lighter plug

One of the problems with cig plugs is the spring on the central pin tends to push the plug back out and leads to arcing & over heating. There is a replacement (merit?) that actually latches in and stays. you need to replace socket, but I understand cig plugs still work in it. Caveat, no idea...

Interested In Opinions On Extending Warranty

Lol, we were offered "the extended warranty" and a quick read showed how crap it was. You were really giving them your money upfront to be used for some of the parts and service at future prices. It didn't actually warrant anything.
