My ute (2004 ZD30) has sudeenly developed a clicking noise from the passenger footwell. I presume this is the glow plug relay (under the passenger kick panel??). I reckon the glow plugs are knackered at 310,000 kms. It starts pretty well during the day but needs a little more cranking than usual...

Have any of you blokes with a chip fitted to your ZD30 experienced excessive EGTs, particularly when towing? What about rolling coal, ie. black smoke? I thought I'd ask before I bit the bullet.

Do any of your blokes have any experience with water/methanol injection on a zd30? Does it make extra power. lower egts and what boost level does it kick in? Seems like a good way to get a little extra power and reduce egts while towing.

Does anyone know if the transfer case in my ZD30 Navara is the same as the one in the Patrol? I'm looking at buying an overdrive and can get a kit for a Patrol.
