    D22 underneath watertank

Any caravan or camper trailer place usually have loads of poly tanks in a variety of shapes and sizes. I have an aluminium tray so plenty of under tray room. I went with a 61Lt tank, inline pressure pump. Home made brackets. Works a treat.

    Fuel Pump worries...

I have made a claim with my insurers and they are having a crack at the servo owner. Hopefully we can get some cash back.

    Fuel Pump worries...

yes, thats what 2 different mechanics have told me after fuel issues. The problem is that many if not all are independently owned servos. So it could be a combination of the quality of fuel being supplied combined with level of cleanliness of their tanks, (and the tanks they were transported in)...

    Car Park Drive Offs

We had someone break into our shed some years ago looking for cash/loose change in our cars. Didn't find any so ran a screwdriver down half of the left hand side of my 64 EH sedan. F@#kers!

    Fuel Pump worries...

Thanks guys. The ute is running like a freight train now. I did have a look at the pre filters at MTQ. They insisted that it doesn't put additional load on the pump but I agree with Tweak'e that as soon as the filters clog then the pump is loaded up. I have a feeling the first dose of shit fuel...

    Fuel Pump worries...

I thought I would let you all know of a recent dilemma with my 02 d22 zd30 motor... On only the second day out during a recent trip up the Oodnadatta and across the Simpson Desert, I filled up at BP at Yunta, SA. We were not supposed to be that far South but due to rains, we had to alter our...

PS, its worth taking a flight from Marree or William Creek over the Lake.

    Lake Eyre and Cooper Creek

Have fun mate. I just got back from 3 weeks up there. Freakin water, mud, bird life and vegetation everywhere! We did the Oodnadatta track only about a day after it reopened (closed due to rain) and went on through Hamilton Station to Mt Dare, then across the Simmo along the French Line. Just...

    D22 suspension lift

PS, can anyone tell me how the hell I change my picture thingy? I have tried to change it to a picture of my new ute and must be missing the part of the brain that deals with computers. It says its saved but then doesn't show the new picture. Perhaps its too big?

    D22 suspension lift

I have: HD rear leaf springs (Ironman) Std torsion bars wound up Rancho adjustables all round I have a steel bar and winch hanging off the front but still wouldn't bother replacing the torsion bars unless they snapped or sagged to buggery. The fact is you only have a certain amount of travel...

    Suspension

I think you'll find if you're not always going to be towing or carrying a load, they will recommend bags. Heavy duty springs will do the job but are a bit rough when the ute is empty.

    DIY Leaf Spring change over...HELP

Sorted. I finished it yesterday. Once I bored the 18mm holes, everything went together like a dream. The hangers now have M18 through bolts with the cam thingy just acting as a washer. Not exactly sure of the benefit of the all in one cam/pin setup anyway. I have seen heaps of other makes and...

What dual battery setup do you have?

I have an AC Delco deep cycle in a box under the tray with a VSR solenoid unit near the starter battery under the bonnet. Actually not wired up yet, but is the same as the last set up I had and worked a treat. I had a couple of 12v sockets in and under the tray, as well as a couple of work...

How'd you go with the intercooler mod Dave? I'm keen to see some photos when its done. Sounds like a bit of work eh? Tim

    DIY Leaf Spring change over...HELP

Wouldn't budge. I'm a hack at the best of times and my favourite tool is a reciprocating saw with a long blade, so... I cut the pin both sides of the old leaf (on both sides of the ute - neither would budge). Because the thread sticking out was about M10, I thought it would be a straight up...

    DIY Leaf Spring change over...HELP

I have levered and bashed to no avail woznme. Its been soaking overnight. Am about to have another go. If that doesn't work, I will do as Simon has suggested. I thought about cutting the bolt/pin last night but thought I would have to then wait and go to the wreckers to get a replacement...

    DIY Leaf Spring change over...HELP

Have tried belting the bolt with a drift but the exhaust prevents a good swing on one side and the petrol tank is on the other side. I've tried twisting the cam with some multi grips. I'll try a hammer. Thanks Pro Nav

    DIY Leaf Spring change over...HELP

Thanks Jason. I have soaked it in Inox. I think I'll take your advice about walking away for the night ... I don't want to be posting another question tonight about how to replace the driver's side window!
